Ramadan🌙Kareem Art

I’ve been wanting to draw something Ramadan Inspired since Ramadan started but could barely come up with an idea. I just kept doodling stuff then I’d rip them out of my sketch and feel like a failure. Art has a great impact on my mood. It manages to make me feel the most worthless piece of shit ever and the most talented person ever I could be Picasso wtf. No inbetween.

I usually either let Alice or Ahmad name the girls I draw. I send them the picture and who ever answers first with a name wins. Ahmad won this time but I ended up naming her anyway wtf xD I wanted a moon-related name so I googled names.
I imagined her while I was in the car going to a family gathering after my previous ideas managed to make me feel disappointed in myself. I imagined her a bit differently though, I pictured the moon laying under her eyes – like how Sailor Moon’s moon looks like however not on her forehead, but after drawing it I didn’t really like it.
I used Pastel Pitt pencils to colour her and random pens to outline her.
I’m not exactly sure why I drew her as an anime, I prefer realism. Also I suck at drawing anime. I think I improved a lot.
Anyway, yesterday was my mum’s birthday. First we went to an Iftar with the family which not a lot of people attended this year.

I really loved how my makeup looked like. The eyeliner came out pretty good which was a surprise since the brush wouldn’t work properly -.-

I used The Body Shop’s Liquid Eyeliner in black. Its been my favourite eyeliner for a really long time, doesn’t budge until you rub it with water. For eyeshadow, I used The Body Shop’s Eye Colour Matte in no.10 which is a pretty neutral brown colour. I applied it only on my crease and blent it above it because my eyes are deep set and  it doesn’t show eyeshadow if i don’t blend it above. For mascara, my all time favourite is Miss Manga by L’Oreal.

Full face.

Mum’s birthday cake xD the only candle that was available was a Minnie Mouse 1 year old candle wahahahahhaha
That’s all for now ^__^ buh byee!

88 Color Palette bh Cosmetics Review +Makeup for Green Eyes

I’ve recently ordered the 88 color palette – cool matte eyeshadow from bh cosmetics and that’s probably the only thing good to happen to me since 2015 😮

I love makeup, but problem is that brands here in Egypt are either the really expensive ones like Chanel, Dior and LancĂ´me or drugstore types that are hard to find because they’re most of the time sold out, at least that’s what happens to me XD. I find a product, go home and read about it then go back to search for it only to find it finished. Happened to me with Essence’s concealer palette.

Anyway, so I found this page on fb that sells bh cosmetics and decided to make an order.

Even though it suppose to be a matte palette, there are some shimmery eyeshadows. I’d say from about 30-40 colours are shimmery. The colours are pretty pigmented though which is good but also kinda scary for me since eyeshadows seem to show easily on my skin, its like my pores produce eyeshadow primer wahahahaha.

1. Add a gold eyeshadow all over the lids, especially pack it on the tear ducts.
2. Highlight the brow bone with white eyeshadow.
3. Apply a dark brown eyeshadow on your outer V and blend well and slightly bring it down on the lower lash line.
4. Using a dark red eyeshadow apply it in a ball shape on the outer corner of your lids. This contrast green eyes to make it more vivid.
5. I skipped eyeliner and went straight to mascara only on my upper lashes. I used L’oreal’s Miss Manga mascara.
6. For the lips, I used Darling Pink matte lipstick from H&M on the centre of my lips and spread it out with my finger and then used Clarins’ Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 01.

DIY: Activated Charcoal Face Mask

I’ve been having really bad breakouts for the past few weeks and my mud masks aren’t doing a good job at fighting the acne lately – maybe I need new masks. However, I find that nothing works as good as home made masks. So I did a little research and found that activated charcoal is great at fighting off acne and so I cracked my own little recipe.

1 activated charcoal pill
1 tsp of yogurt
1/2 tsp of honey
Few drops of orange blossom water

1. Charcoal has natural detoxifying properties. It draws oils, bacteria and dirt out of pores which helps in fighting acne.

2. Yogurt is always my go to product during break outs. Its benefits are countless! It contains:
Zinc which is an anti inflammatory that makes it good a reducing swellings caused by acne and even out skin tones. It also has mild astringent properties to help tighten the skin tissue.
Lactic Acid smoothes rough skin, exfoliates and moisturises and is anti ageing.
Calcium helps in skin regeneration and is an anti oxidant which heals dry skin.
B-vitamins hydrates skin and makes it glow and is necessary for cell growth and skin renewal. It also protects the skin from free radicals.
All of these help in clearing acne, lighting and tightening the skin and maintaining a wrinkle free skin.

3. Honey is a natural anti bacterial which is great to prevent acne. It is full of anti ageing properties. Moisturising, soothing and clarifying (opens up pores).

4. Orange blossom water or you can use normal water, but I find this more beneficial to my skin. Orange blossom water is rich in A, C and anti oxidants. It helps in balancing skin oils, hydrates, firms and reduces redness.

Put the charcoal pill in a small bowl and add a few drops of orange blossom water to help break it down to powder, this could take a long time. I kept hitting the pill with my spoon to break it and when it finally did, I placed it on the back of the spoon and started grinding it on the bowl like how you do with a mortar and pestol. After it became a liquid, I added my honey and yogurt and stirred.

The mask is a silvery black colour which is very pretty must I say. No it is not staining and easy to take off, but takes a really long time to dry. I think around 45 minutes?

I applied it before my shower today and after I came it my skin was noticeably improved. My acne swelling was gone by a lot and the redness was reduced, I think I’m in love with this mask. Its not even messy!

Neutral makeup – First Pictorial!

Hello everyone!
Today would be the first time I do a pictorial [picture+tutorial]. I really love makeup so I decided to try to do one. Even though my love for makeup is undeniable, I only started going out with makeup on two days ago. Well not specifically 2 days ago, I usually use BB cream and eyeliner and if I’m feeling like dolling up – I use mascara too, but I don’t think I went out with eyeshadow on before. Maybe during a wedding or something.

Annnyway ^_^ I bought a nice eyeshadow palette from essence and I likey, so why no share? Its called essence quattro eyeshadow in 05 to die for

I really love the simple packaging! It shows when it gets dirty, it feels like its calling my name to come clean it. “Deww, come clean mehh”

That must be annoying on lazy days ~ XD

The opacity of the colours is pretty good for me. Usually people search for eyeshadows with high pigmentation but I like them not very pigmented. My skin somehow shows the colours more intense then on other people’s skin plus I don’t really want harsh makeup on. If sheer, can always layer it on.

The price is pretty good. Its just for 44 L.E.

First colour looks like its beige in the palette though its actually a toned down white? If that makes sense. The second colour is a shimmery pearly pink colour. Fourth is a bronze colour (least pigmented of all). Fifth is a matte brown eyeshadow. They’re all shimmery except the fourth is matte.

Now the pictorial!

1. I apply MAKEUP FOR EVER’s Lift Concealer in #3 all over my eye area to hide my eye bags (the concealer isn’t very wallet-friendly) then I apply the first shadow on the middle part of the lid, inner corner and a bit on the brow bone.

2. I dab on the second shadow around where I put the first eyeshadow on the middle of the lids/above the tear duct and the outer corner. Also line under the lower lash line starting from the under the inner corner and stopping 1/3 of the eye – around where your iris starts.

3. Apply the fourth matte brown colour on the outer V and on the crease. Since my eyes are deep set, if I apply right on the crease, it wont be seen so I applied a bit on top of the crease and slightly blend. I add a bit more of the second colour to the outer V and blend it with the brown. make sure there is no hard edges! I applied the matte brown colour on my bottom lash line till it almost met the pearly pink colour and blent them together.

4. I used essence’ I Love Punk Eyeliner in 001 ultra black to thinly line my upper lash line and I ever so slightly wing it in the end. Then Bourjois’ volume glamour mascara in NOIRE ÉBÈNE 06 on my bottom and lower lashes.

TIP: put the brown shadow to the sides of your nose to contour. My nose bridge is already high so I just put where the brow meets the nose and blend downwards.

That’s it!

This tutorial was so un planned. I’m staying at my mum’s house and forgot to get my camera so I had to take these photo’s with my iPhone. Since the front camera is so lousy and I had to use the back camera and look in my compact mirror to see if the camera is positioned right plus my room’s lighting is bad so I had to use the flash. I’m blind now x_x” ~~~ with the right applications and the flash, the pictures look pretty good! Better than I expected ^_^

I’ve went out with this makeup for two days now and I really like it. The shimmer in the eyeshadows isn’t that “showy”. Some eyeshadows just make me feel like its saying “LOOK AT THE EYES! LOOK AT THE EFFING EYES” and it hurts my eyes. Not suitable for every day looks and not something I’d wear. I have a baby face so that looks weird on me.

I really love makeup, but usually I avoid going out with it because I’d get addicted. First I started using BB cream and ever since last year I cant live without it. I feel weird when I leave the house without it since I have acne and it helps to remove the redness and reduce their appearance which is what I want. Then I started wearing eyeliner daily and it stopped there. I don’t feel ugly without eyeliner, I just think it makes me prettier. Actually these days I’ve been wearing less liner or I make it thin and in school I put on BB cream only. Sometimes conceal super red pimples.

First pictorial done! Woohooo!

Buh-bye ^_~
